Airborne Photography Training

From Squadron 51, Lieutenants Michael Liu, and Kate Scott earned the advanced aircrew rating for Airborne Photography. The training took place at Whiteman airport over two weekends with ground school on Nov 4-5, and a Disaster Relief Exercise mission (DREX) on Nov 11-12. Airborne Photography is becoming of increasing importance for the Emergency Services disaster efforts and requires technical expertise. These senior members are now able to execute photography missions for FEMA and other agencies.

Lt Peter Kalev attended the AP ground school portion of the training and is now an Airborne Photographer Trainee. At the DREX, Maj Benjamin Karabian earned his Mission Observer rating and Maj Harry Sax flew as Mission Pilot on several training missions.
