Mission Aircrew School 2017

Congratulations to Lt. Simon Morton and Lt. Matthew Saak who attended California Wing’s annual Mission Aircrew School. The training took place over two weekends: Ground School at Whiteman airport on July 1-2, followed by the Flight School in Bakersfield during the weekend of July 21-23. Lt. Morton earned his Mission Pilot rating, and Lt. Saak became rated as a Mission Observer.

Special thanks to Maj. Harry Sax who helped teach a portion of the Ground School on Sunday, July 2nd. 2d Lt. Katherine Scott also attended the Ground School to complete the Fam & Prep tasks for the Mission Observer rating. We are pleased to have more air crew members at Squadron 51 to support Emergency Services in the California.
