Students had to climb 6 to 10 feet walls, crawl under barbed wire, and many other obstacles that required their muscles and teamwork. After that, students headed over to the flight simulator, where they got to use a remote control to fly a simulated plane. They also attended a Physics class where they learned how to create their own circuits to light a light bulb! #cawgencampment2018 #capferlyfe #goflycap #campsanluisobispo @ CAWG Encampment ... As the Training Officer for Charlie Flight, one of 14 flights made up of 20 cadet students and two cadet staff members, Sq51’s Commander Capt Robert Ottenhoff (middle), oversees the first inspection of many to be held during the 7 day long encampment. The two cadet staff members in the middle aisle, C/Major Anglin, Charlie Flight Commander (on the left), and C/SMSgt Carlson, Charlie Flight Sergeant (on the right) are inspecting Charlie flight cadets who used teamwork and attention to detail to prepare for this inspection. Inspections are very demanding and are done at high intensity under the close supervision of experienced Training Officers like Capt Ottenhoff to ensure that all members conduct themselves within the Core Values of CAP (Integrity, Volunteer Services, Excellence, and Respect) and receive age-appropriate training in the accomplishment of those standards.
